Job summary

Greencroft Communities is seeking a Director of Admissions to guide prospective residents and families through the admissions journey, coordinating with clinical teams and leadership to ensure a smooth transition into long-term care.

You will tour facilities, answer questions, build referral networks, and coordinate paperwork while maintaining confidentiality and a compassionate, professional demeanor across a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional flexibility for events or travel within Ohio.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to build relationships with residents, families, referral sources, and community partners.
• Independent work with team collaboration as needed.
• Organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow up.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from prospective residents and families with information about services, admissions, Medicare/Medicaid, billing, and more.
• Follow up with prospective residents and families through decision-making processes.
• Give facility tours and create a welcoming experience for residents and families.
• Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, social workers, physicians, and other referral sources.
• Promote services and programs within the community.
• Coordinate admissions with the clinical team and facility leadership.
• Schedule and participate in pre-admission visits when appropriate.
• Assist families and residents with admission paperwork and expectations.
• Coordinate pre-admission and move-in activities for a smooth transition.
• Maintain accurate inquiry, admission, discharge, and bed-availability records.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure a positive resident and family experience.
• Support employee engagement and facility events to foster a welcoming workplace.
