The Horsham Clinic is a 206-bed private behavioral healthcare facility located on a beautiful 55-acre suburban campus. We are minutes from Philadelphia and serve Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The clinic provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. Programs and services are located on the main campus in Ambler, Pennsylvania, as well as satellite day hospital programs in Pennsylvania, Delaware County, and Chester County. Role Overview

The Admission Counselor provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process, and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff. The ARC Counselor manages phone inquiries and completes the admission process by effectively communicating cases to the Shift Coordinator.

Qualifications
  • Masters in Counseling, Psychology, or Human Services required; RN License preferred
  • 2-3 years experience in a mental health setting
  • Experience with psychiatric patients, including those exhibiting violent or aggressive behavior; hospital environment experience
  • Willingness to work with children and adolescents
  • Knowledge of group therapy processes and therapeutic techniques
  • Understanding of age-specific growth and development
  • Knowledge of addiction issues
  • Skills in limit setting, behavior management, and crisis intervention
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership abilities to plan, direct, and monitor team activities, fostering a positive work environment
