Somerset Community College is accepting applications for an Admissions Counselor II for Career and Technical Education. This position is responsible for recruiting prospective students and promoting open enrollment classes offered through Career and Technical Education. This role actively engages with the community, prospective students, and industry partners to drive enrollment and awareness of non-credit, credit, and continuing education programs. Additionally, the position provides comprehensive administrative support to the Dean of Career and Technical Education, program coordinators, and instructors, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service delivery.
Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university (technical, business, project management, or related field) and four years relevant experience or equivalent. Education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university (technical, business, project management, or related field) and two years of relevant experience.
Strong computer skills; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Word; strong interpersonal skills (including phone, email, face-to-face, text); ability to handle a heavy workload; ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines; strong initiative; organizational skills; and strong attention to detail.
