Overview

Role: The Admissions Counselor II is responsible for helping with the recruitment and admissions for the Graduate Admissions Department. The Counselor will be responsible for cultivating and managing inquiries, helping prospective students through the admissions process, attending conferences, conducting meetings, info sessions, etc., along with other duties as assigned in order to successfully meet targeted recruitment goals. All activities of this position are to make a contribution to the fulfillment of the mission of the university.

Responsibilities
  • Find, attract and recruit new students
  • Work alongside other admissions personnel and at times, academic faculty/staff to help reach program goals
  • Guide students through the admissions process
  • Meet targeted program enrollment goals for each start term
  • Help manage all aspects of the admissions process including review, authentication and evaluation of student applications and related records
  • Serve as a liaison between the academic departments and the Graduate and Adult Admissions Office
  • Support the development, planning and implementation of the University's recruitment efforts including events, communication plans and advertising campaigns - Traveling some evenings and weekends will be required
  • Prepare written communication: letters, applications and recruitment publications in all mediums
  • Create and update student information utilizing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program
  • Log and maintain all communication with prospective students
  • Present program and admissions information to prospective student at information sessions and conferences
  • Develop and maintain relationships with target markets
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Education And/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university. Master's Degree preferred.

Position Details

Full Time Staff, Non-Exempt

Salary: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
