Adams and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Admissions Counselor to support Job Corps Center operations in Georgia.

The role focuses on screening applicants, conducting assessments and career counseling, and maintaining high-quality supervision of students to improve enrollment and retention. You will collaborate with schools, community agencies, and employment services to inform prospective applicants about the Job Corps program, conduct tours, pre-arrival visits, and parent meetings while

• Bachelor's or associate degree in a related field with relevant experience.
• Job Corps enrollment or youth program experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills required.

Responsabilités

• Screen applicants to determine eligibility and suitability for the Job Corps program.
• Secure and evaluate applicants' records (behavioral, medical, educational).
• Deny enrollment when appropriate and refer applicants to other resources.
• Perform assessments and provide career counseling during admissions.
• Serve as liaison to Center staff to ensure smooth enrollment and retention.
• Collaborate with community agencies, schools, and training providers to inform prospects.
• Conduct center tours, pre-arrival visits, and parent meetings.
• Maintain attendance, accountability, and productivity standards.
• Mentor and model the Career Success Standards per PRH requirements.

POSITION SUMMARYThe Admissions Counselor is responsible for ensuring that the Center meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance goals while following integrity guidelines and procedures. The Admissions Counselor also conducts assessments and career counseling, maintains high-quality supervision of the student population, and collaborates with various stakeholders to enhance program services.Conduct comprehensive screening procedures to determine applicants' eligibility and suitability for the Job Corps ProgramSecure and evaluate applicants' behavioral, medical, and educational recordsDeny applicant enrollment and refer applicants to other educational resources as necessaryConduct thorough assessment activities and career counseling during the admissions processServe as a liaison to Center staff to facilitate a seamless enrollment process and early student retentionWork closely with community agencies, employment services, high schools, and trade schools to inform prospective applicants about the Job Corps programConduct Center tours, pre-arrival visits, and Parent meetingsMaintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and work productivity standardsMentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by the Policy and Requirements Handbook (PRH).Provide high-quality supervision and management for the student populationAbout Adams and AssociatesAdams and Associates is a 100% employee-owned company that is service-focused and outcome-driven. The Center also provides a nutritious affordably priced lunch to staff.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEAssociates degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications or closely related field and two years related experience required. Bachelors degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field preferred. Experience may include successful Job Corps enrollment or successful enrollment in other youth development programs.
