Job description

AdmissionSight (www.admissionsight.com) is a fast-growing Ivy League admissions consulting firm. Our students are admitted to the Ivy League and Top 10 universities at roughly 10x the national average, with 75% gaining admission to an Ivy League or Top 10 school and 98% admitted to one of their top choices. We've helped students earn offers from Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Yale, MIT, Columbia, UPenn, Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell, and Oxford, and our work has been featured by U.S. News & World Report, the Associated Press, and Yahoo News.

Founded and led by CEO Eric Eng (BA, Princeton), AdmissionSight is a premium, boutique consultancy built on a simple belief: helping high school students get into their dream schools while receiving an incredible academic and entrepreneurial learning experience along the way. We deliver high-touch, one‑on‑one mentorship across the full admissions journey, from application strategy and essay editing to extracurricular positioning, science research, passion projects, and competition coaching.

We're looking for an entrepreneurially driven Senior Consultant who will grow this company 10x and take AdmissionSight to the next level. As a Senior Consultant, you be closing high ticket sales with potential prospects, act as a strategic lead for your students and be the embodiment of AdmissionSight's results‑driven philosophy. You build long‑term, personalized roadmaps that bridge where a student is today and the university they aspire to attend, then guide them through every milestone of execution. You'll work closely together with students and families to help them navigate the college admissions process.

**The role requires both high ticket sales by developing relationships with prospects and consulting students to achieve their college admissions goals. Compensation is performance‑based with tremendous upside - details to be discussed in the interview process. We're a fast‑growing company with the goal of reaching 8 figures in revenue within the next year. This role is only the right fit for someone creative, entrepreneurial and ambitious.**

Key Responsibilities
  • Close high ticket sales by meeting with students and families and maintaining and developing relationships with potential prospects.
  • Build individualized admissions strategies for each student and execute them in coordination with the wider AdmissionSight team of research scientists, tutors, and mentors.
  • Guide students on high school course planning, standardized testing (SAT/ACT/AP), extracurricular and leadership development, summer program applications and regional/national academic competitions with sharp, timely recommendations.
  • Mentor students on passion project development and/or research projects to secure published research papers
  • Use deep knowledge of selective universities to help students and parents build balanced, best‑fit school lists that maximize admission outcomes.
  • Lead regular consulting sessions with students, documenting notes and action items and sharing them with relevant stakeholders.
  • Keep families informed and supported between formal sessions through email and other channels.
  • Guide students on essay strategy and narrative, helping them edit and craft compelling personal statements and supplemental essays that convey a distinctive story and hook.
  • Support initial consultations and contribute to the continuous improvement of AdmissionSight's programs and resources.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a top university; degree from an Ivy League or Top 20 institution strongly preferred (candidates with strong undergraduate admissions consulting experience will also be considered).
  • Demonstrated experience in US undergraduate admissions consulting at highly selective universities.
  • Genuine passion for mentoring high‑achieving students and an appreciation for diverse backgrounds and goals.
  • Strong technical and technology skills to help students with their passion project development and/or research projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning, organization, and project‑management ability; experience juggling multiple students and timelines.
  • Skilled at stakeholder management across students, parents, and internal teams.
  • Resilient, self‑directed, and adaptable in a fast‑paced, high‑expectations environment.
  • Prior work in education, coaching, tutoring, or admissions consulting strongly preferred.
Why work for AdmissionSight
  • Join one of the world's top Ivy League admissions consultancies, with a track record few can match.
  • Perform meaningful, high‑impact work, changing the trajectory of students' and families' lives.
  • Boutique, quality‑over‑volume culture where your individual expertise genuinely matters.
  • Learn directly from a founder with 15+ years of experience and one of the industry's strongest placement records.
  • If you're driven by results, love mentoring ambitious students, and want to do the best work of your career alongside a team of experts, we'd love to hear from you.
