Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Admission Counselor plays a key role in advancing Tulsa Community College's enrollment goals by developing relationships with prospective students, families, high schools, and community partners. This position assists in the implementation of the College's recruitment strategy by representing TCC at on and off-campus events, delivering presentations, advising prospective students through the admission process, and providing timely, personalized follow-up to support enrollment and student success.

The Admission Counselor plays a key role in advancing Tulsa Community College's enrollment goals by developing relationships with prospective students, families, high schools, and community partners. This position assists in the implementation of the College's recruitment strategy by representing TCC at on and off-campus events, delivering presentations, advising prospective students through the admission process, and providing timely, personalized follow-up to support enrollment and student success.

This is a Safety Sensitive position pursuant to Oklahoma Statute

Essential Duties

Provide individualized admission counseling to prospective students and their families by serving as the initial point of contact, responding to inquiries via phone, email, text, virtual, and in-person appointments, and providing accurate information regarding admission, academic programs, enrollment processes, financial aid and scholarship resources, and student services.

Develop, implement, and maintain a recruitment territory by establishing and sustaining relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, business partners, and other constituents that support student recruitment and enrollment goals.

Represent Tulsa Community College at recruitment events including high school visits, college fairs, community events, campus tours, information sessions, and special recruitment programs. Deliver engaging presentations to prospective students, families, and community partners.

Conduct proactive follow-up with prospective students through phone calls, emails, text messages, and other communication methods to encourage application completion, admission, enrollment, and participation in recruitment events.

Maintain accurate student records and recruitment activities in the College's customer relationship management (CRM) system. Monitor recruitment data, manage communication campaigns, and assist in achieving enrollment goals.

Participate in departmental meetings, professional development opportunities, cross-functional committees, and perform other duties as assigned in support of the College's enrollment management initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel locally and statewide as needed.

Bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, Business or a related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.

1 year experience in admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, student services, or customer service, sales, marketing, education, or a related field.

Exceptional interpersonal communication and public speaking abilities.

Ability to translate Spanish or Other Language.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while staffing recruitment events and campus tours.

Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, email, and virtual platforms.

Ability to lift and transport recruitment materials and displays weighing up to 50 pounds.

Ability to travel locally and occasionally statewide.

Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers and presentation technology.

Regular travel to high schools, community organizations, and recruitment events.

Occasional evening and weekend work is required to support recruitment activities and special events.

Position requires flexibility to respond to changing recruitment priorities and enrollment cycles.

Work is performed in both office and mobile office environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with student information systems (Banner) and CRM (SLATE).
