Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a full-time recruiter for the San Diego Job Corps Center in Oceanside. You will conduct direct recruitment activities, interview candidates, and guide youth toward career paths in compliance with government and organizational directives.

The role emphasizes outreach to referral resources, center tours, and ensuring eligibility documentation. A bachelor’s or associate degree with related experience, and a valid driver license, are required, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business communications or closely related field; or associate degree and 2 years related experience required.
• Bilingual- Spanish preferred, but not required.
• Experience may include sales and successful outreach and admissions experience or successful outreach and admissions experience with other youth programs.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct direct recruitment activities, including public speaking, develop linkage with referral resources such as human services agencies, recreation centers, youth organizations and churches; participate in center tours and contact potential enrollees.
• Interview interested candidates and obtain required information on each one, ensure all documents required to support eligibility are obtained, properly completed, and included in applicant's folder.
• Arrange for reception of candidates upon acceptance into program.
• Follow up on student progress, e.g., length of stay and separation.
