Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is hiring at the Charleston Job Corps Center in Charleston, WV to recruit and enroll students, guiding them toward career paths and education opportunities in line with government directives. You will conduct direct recruitment activities, interview candidates, liaise with referral resources, and arrange for reception of new enrollees.

The role is full-time with 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, at a wage of $22.86 per hour plus overtime and bonuses, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business communications or closely related field; or associate degree and 2 years related experience required.
• Experience may include sales and successful outreach and admissions experience with youth programs.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct direct recruitment activities, including public speaking, and develop linkage with referral resources such as human services agencies, recreation centers, youth organizations and churches; participate in center tours and contact potential enrollees.
• Interview interested candidates and obtain required information on each one, ensure all documents required to support eligibility are obtained, properly completed, and included in applicant's folder.
• Arrange for reception of candidates upon acceptance into program.
• Follow up on student progress, e.g., length of stay and separation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree and related field (human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business communications)

Associate degree and 2 years related experience
