Position Summary

This medical office position is responsible for managing all referrals for the medical offices in the market.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Process patient referrals for the practices in the market.
  2. Facilitate orders outside of facilities.
  3. Coordinate scheduling of office visits for referred patients.
  4. Assist patients in finding resources that accept various insurances.
  5. Obtain pre-authorization from payers.
  6. Call insurance companies to get medications approved that may have been denied due to formulary changes.
Qualifications
Education
  • Required: High school diploma/GED.
  • Preferred: Completion of a medical assisting or medical office assistant program.
Experience
  • Required: Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a medical office setting.
Certifications
  • Preferred: Healthcare management/administration or Medical Assistant certification.
