Job summary

Lakeview Center is seeking an Admission Coordinator to support the front office and clinical practice areas. You will handle check-in/check-out, scheduling, reminders, insurance verification, and co-pay collection to ensure smooth patient flow and quality service.

You will work with a team to maintain daily task accuracy, follow facility policies, and support staff while upholding state and federal standards. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required, plus 3 years of related medical field experience.
  • Working knowledge of front desk practices and patient workflow is expected.
  • Understanding of insurance authorizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

The position of Admission Coordinator is an integral part of the Business Practice Front Office Team. The primary responsibilities include providing support for the clinical and physician practice area by managing the front office responsibilities of appointment check‑in and check‑out, scheduling, rescheduling, reminder calls, authorizations, collecting co‑pays, verifying insurance, and providing quality customer services. The position maintains a working knowledge of front desk processes, ensures all daily tasks are completed timely, supports the needs of the professional staff, and ensures quality customer service.

Assignments and tasks are expected to be performed with considerable independence and maintain compliance with established facility policies and procedures, contract requirements, organization bylaws, and federal and state regulations/laws.

Role Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and 3 years of related medical field experience, or a combination of education and related medical field experience.
  • Must have working knowledge of business/medical or relatively front office practice.
  • Understanding of insurance authorizations and practice requirements is considered a plus.
  • Must have the ability to work independently with good criterial thinking and decision‑making skills.
  • Must have proficient internet/computer skills and use Microsoft Office 10 to complete task.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
  • Must have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Must have excellent verbal and communication to include letters, memos and emails.
  • Ability to work within the guidelines established in the policies and procedures of the agency and assigned program division.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented with a high level of accuracy while demonstrating the ability to resist distractions.
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state and federal background screening as appropriate.
Compensation

Salary Range for this position is $17.50 - $18.75 per hour. Salary is based on experience.
