Job summary

Smith Mountain Lake Health & Rehab Center in Moneta, VA is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to manage the customer flow from inquiry to admission. You will ensure positive relations with prospective residents and referral sources, verify payer sources, and coordinate tours, admissions, and pre-certifications.

This full-time role offers daily or weekly pay options, a generous benefits package, PTO, and opportunities for professional growth within a 90-bed skilled nursing facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a healthcare setting.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including referral software and electronic health record software.
• Previous experience with skilled nursing and long-term care preferred.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of the job is to manage the customer flow from inquiry to actual admission. You will ensure positive relations with the potential customer(s) and referral sources, ensure proper payer for admission, ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and contribute towards the community’s profitability and census goals. You will coordinate tours, admissions, insurance verifications & pre-certs.
