Job summary

Life Care Center of Littleton is seeking an Admissions Assistant (Non Nurse) to facilitate and support the admission process in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. This role requires weekend availability (Wednesday through Sunday, with shifts around 8:30/9am to 4:30/5pm) and a high school diploma.

Prior healthcare experience is preferred and the candidate must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional conduct in interactions with patients and

Qualifications

• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities.
• Understand and follow Life Care’s policies including Code of Conduct.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Gather and enter all necessary admission paperwork.
• Provide assistance for patient and family at time of admission.
• Assist with follow up visits and interviews with all new patients after admission.
• Assist or solely provide facility tours to potential and newly admitted patients, families, and visitors.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team.

Position Summary

Education, Experience, And Licensure Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Prior healthcare experience preferred

Specific Job Requirements

• Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
• Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training

Essential Functions
