Job summary

Alexandria Care Center is seeking an Admissions Assistant in Los Angeles to support referrals, admissions interviews, and tours. You will manage inquiries via phone, email, and in person, gathering information for team review and liaising with the care team.

The role requires 2–4 years in long-term care, knowledge of reimbursement programs, and a compassionate approach to residents and families. A driver’s license and clean DMV record are needed.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years related experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
• Understanding of healthcare reimbursement programs.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clear DMV record; insurable.
• Compassion toward residents and families.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, terminology, laws and guidelines for long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions coordination and referral source relationships.
• Conduct tours and pre-admission interviews with prospective residents or responsible parties.
• Review inquiries and extract essential information for team evaluation.
• Collaborate with Administrator, Director of Nursing, and Business Office Manager on admissions decisions.
