Recover-Care in Topeka, KS is seeking an Admissions Assistant to guide prospective residents and their families through the admissions process from referral to move-in. You will work closely with the Admissions Director, residents, families, healthcare providers, and our community to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
Responsibilities include reviewing referrals for benefits, insurance coverage, and eligibility; entering referrals into our CRM; creating and maintaining resident profiles;
Join our team as an Admissions Assistant and play an important role in helping prospective residents and their families navigate the admissions process from referral to move-in. This position works closely with the Admissions Director, residents, families, healthcare providers, and our community to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
Review every referral and verifybenefits, insurance coverage, and eligibility.
Enter referrals into ourCRM system and ensure all required and important information is accurately documented.
Create and maintain resident/prospect profiles and keep information up to date.
Follow up with prospective residents and families to obtain and completeadmission paperwork and required documentation.
Initiate and assist withprior authorizationsand communicate with insurance companies, providers, and other involved parties as needed.
Serve as anambassador for assigned residents, meeting with specific residents regularly, listening to their concerns, helping resolve problems, and ensuring their needs are communicated to the appropriate team members.
Assist withmarketing events, community outreach, tours, and other promotional activities as needed.
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, physicians, consultants, providers, governmental agencies, and community partners.
Provide administrative support to the Admissions Department and assist with day-to-day admissions operations.
Fill in for the Admissions Director when they are out of the office, helping maintain continuity of the admissions process.
Maintain accurate electronic documentation and protect confidential resident information.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
High school diploma required.
Proficiency withMicrosoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, physicians, consultants, providers, governmental agencies, and community representatives.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Professional, compassionate, and personable demeanor.
Previous experience in healthcare, senior living, admissions, insurance verification, customer service, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
