St Simons By-the-Sea is seeking an Admissions Clinician to serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking care, guiding them through compassionate, efficient intake and admissions processes at a 101-bed behavioral health hospital on St Simons Island, GA.

You will assess, triage, and coordinate appropriate levels of care, working within a collaborative team to support lasting recovery and patient-centered care in a coastal Georgia setting.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited school in the Behavioral Sciences or related field.
• 2+ years of experience; inpatient setting preferred.
• Two years in Intake/Triage/Admissions preferred.
• Computer proficient with previous heavy data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients presenting with psychiatric or behavioral health concerns, including both voluntary and involuntary cases
• Use your clinical judgement to determine medical necessity and recommend alternative levels of care when appropriate
• Gather an evaluate key information for insurance providers, including competing precertifications
• Respond to and triage incoming calls, providing timely guidance and follow-up to patients, families, and referral sources
