An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Admission and Student Teaching Approval Coordinator to oversee the admission process for Teacher Education. This role requires strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. The coordinator will manage student teaching placements, evaluate applications, and serve as a primary contact for imaging software. This position offers a chance to contribute significantly to the educational community while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with educational standards. Individuals in this classification are responsible for admitting students to Teacher Education, approving student teacher applications, and managing student teaching placements. Serving as the point person for students, faculty, cooperating educators, and school administrators, the individual in this position has knowledge of Nebraska policies and strong communication skills. The employee also ensures data is collected for annual accreditation reports. The ability to work independently and interpret data is vital. Advanced technology skills, especially with Microsoft products, are important to aid in managing and sharing data.
Technical expertise in several applications is required, some of which require advanced skills. The coordinator serves as the primary contact for imaging software, including training others, troubleshooting, and answering questions. Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Excel and Word. Creates and maintains multiple Qualtrics surveys.
High school diploma (or equivalent), proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong general computer skills, effective oral and written communication, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to confidentiality and reliability. Ability to work independently and interpret data is essential.
Bachelor’s degree or five years of office experience preferred. Experience with imaging software, Qualtrics, Microsoft products, and prior employment at a university or college highly valued. Candidates with office associate experience or comparable education and experience in related fields are encouraged to apply. Experience with AI is a plus.
