Job summary

Vitality Hospice is seeking an experienced RN to join our leadership team as Administrator/DCO in Burlington, NJ. This role oversees clinical services, drives quality patient care, and leads operational excellence within a clinician-owned hospice.

The Administrator/DCO will supervise RNs, LPNs, CHHAs, social workers, and other clinical staff, ensuring CMS/CHAP compliance and strong patient outcomes. This is a full-time, in-person leadership position.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in New Jersey.
• Minimum 2+ years of hospice, home health, or palliative care experience.
• Minimum 1+ year of clinical leadership or supervisory experience as a Clinical Manager, Director of Nursing, Supervisor, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, including CMS and CHAP requirements.
• Experience with staff supervision, performance management, and team leadership.
• Excellent clinical decision-making, crisis intervention, and family communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all clinical operations and patient care services within hospice programs.
• Lead and facilitate Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings for effective care planning.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate RNs, LPNs, CHHAs, Social Workers, and other clinical staff.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in compliance with CMS, CHAP, and NJ state regulations.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with Medicare CoPs and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Compliance to develop and implement clinical education and training programs.
• Conduct facility visits to strengthen partnerships and support patient care delivery.
• Oversee operational metrics, including staffing, scheduling, payroll, mileage reimbursement, and supply costs.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, and service recovery efforts.

Vitality Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our leadership team as an Administrator/DCO (RN required) in Burlington, New Jersey.

Position Overview

The Administrator/DCO (RN required) is responsible for overseeing all clinical services, staff performance, regulatory compliance, and patient care outcomes. This role partners closely with leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered hospice care.

  • End-of-life care and pain and symptom management
  • Care planning, documentation compliance, and IDT processes
• Experience with staff supervision, performance management, and team leadership
• Excellent clinical decision-making, crisis intervention, and family communication skills
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
