Job summary

Henry Ford Health seeks an experienced professional to manage the PACS administration and related systems, overseeing database and server groups to ensure smooth imaging workflows.

The role requires ARDMS/ARRT/NMTCB credentials with the appropriate education, plus the ability to work under pressure and coordinate with multiple teams across departments.

You will participate in budgeting, end-user training, and drive digital imaging initiatives within the department.

Performs administrative aspects of system management pertaining to the Picture Archival and Communication Systems (PACS).

GENERAL SUMMARY:

• Manages database and server groups.
• Performs daily management of PACS anomalies and changes process to prevent recurrence
• Performs daily management of transcription issues and follows up on all reports not finalized. ¿ Manages imaging IS projects from inception to completion.
• Provides input for operations and capital budget requests.
• Provides direction and coordination of end user training.
• Liaison in digital imaging initiatives within the department and other departments.
• Complexity of Work: Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered Technologist in Radiography R.T.(R)(ARRT), or American Reg Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Nuclear Medical Technologist (NMTCB) preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
