The PA State Employees' Retirement System (SERS) is seeking applicants for an Administrative Officer 2 position that serves as the agency's Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) Manager and Safety Coordinator. We're looking for someone with sharp skills and experience in policy interpretation, planning, writing, training, research, and analysis --preferably related to the safety and emergency preparedness of an organization --to help prevent accidents and illnesses among employees and visitors, as well as to ensure that our vital operations continue successfully in the event of an emergency. - DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position is responsible for the development of the agency's continuity plans and processes, which involves consideration of essential functions, lines of succession, the safeguarding of critical applications and vital resources, and alternate operating capability and functions. As the agency COOP Manager and Safety Coordinator, you will work with diverse groups in a team-oriented, dynamic, professional environment. The ideal candidate will possess self-motivation and initiative and must be willing and able to serve members and employees of SERS during an activation of the COOP.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hour work week, Monday through Friday.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, w/ half-hour meal period OR 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. w/ one-hour meal period.
- Telework: This position may be eligible for ad hoc telework. You will be expected to report on-site every workday. Telework may be authorized for office closings (e.g., weather) or for other infrequent circumstances if discussed in advance and authorized by the supervisor. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
