Larry H. Miller Senior Health offers an Administrator-in-Training (AIT) Program, giving hands-on experience in healthcare leadership. You’ll work with a licensed Administrator and learn how clinical care, business operations, and service excellence converge across skilled nursing, long-term care, home health, hospice, and more.

Completion helps you sit for the nursing home administrator exam and advance within the Larry H. Miller Senior Health portfolio. A relocation is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in healthcare admin, business, or related field.
• Willingness to relocate to assignment location.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Interest in healthcare leadership and people management.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations across nursing, therapy, dietary, maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Learn regulations (CMS, HIPAA) and patient safety standards.
• Develop knowledge of clinical care, infection control, and patient rights.
• Collaborate with the Administrator to address patient/family concerns and deliver exceptional care.

Ready to turn your degree into a meaningful healthcare career? The Larry H. Miller Senior Health Administrator-in-Training (AIT) Program offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and a clear path toward healthcare leadership.

As an AIT, you’ll work alongside a licensed Administrator and learn how clinical care, business operations, team leadership, and exceptional service come together. You’ll gain experience across skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, home health, and hospice.

Completion of the program fulfills the hours required to sit for the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator exam and can open the door to future leadership opportunities across the Larry H. Miller Senior Health portfolio of companies.

What You’ll Do

• Support daily operations across nursing, therapy, dietary, maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Learn healthcare regulations, CMS standards, HIPAA, survey preparation, patient safety, and abuse prevention.
• Develop knowledge of clinical care, infection control, rehabilitation, nutrition, admissions, discharges, and patient rights.
• Partner with the Administrator to address patient and family concerns and support an exceptional care experience.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee retention.
• Learn key financial processes, including payroll, billing, reimbursements, collections, and operating metrics.
• Support facility quality standards, continuous improvement, community outreach, and business development.
• Participate in coaching, mentoring, investigations, and problem-solving while helping promote a culture of enriching lives.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
• Willingness and ability to relocate.
