Job summary

Cape Cod Post Acute in Brewster, MA, seeks an Administrator-in-Training for a full-time leadership development program. You will participate in hands-on training across departments and assist with daily operations to support high-quality resident care.

Qualifications include 60 semester hours completed and enrollment in a related Bachelor’s degree. The role emphasizes professionalism, strong communication, and the ability to grow into a healthcare leadership position.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least 60 semester hours of education.
• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program, preferably in Public Health Administration, Business Administration, or a health-related field.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact tactfully and professionally with residents, families, staff, and the public.
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for quality care.
• Demonstrated professionalism, accountability, and leadership potential within healthcare administration.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on training across all departments.
• Support administrators and department leaders with daily operational tasks.
• Learn to plan, develop, implement programs and initiatives for quality care and operational excellence.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with state and federal requirements.

Responsibilities of Administrator in Training:

• Participate in hands-on training experiences across all departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of facility operations.

• Support administrators and department leaders with daily operational tasks to ensure smooth, efficient facility operations

• Learn to plan, organize, develop, and implement programs, policies, procedures, and initiatives that support quality care and operational excellence.

• Assist in monitoring compliance with all applicable state, federal, and regulatory requirements.

• Engage with residents, families, staff, visitors, and external agencies in a professional, respectful, and solution-oriented manner.

• Observe and contribute to leadership decision-making processes, meetings, and strategic planning initiatives.

• Develop skills in problem-solving, communication, and team leadership through active participation and mentorship.

• Support initiatives that promote resident satisfaction, staff engagement, and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications of Administrator in Training:

• Must have completed at least 60 semester hours of education from an accredited college or university.

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program, preferably in Public Health Administration, Business Administration, or a health-related field.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.

• Strong ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation.

• Demonstrated professionalism, accountability, and a strong desire to grow into a leadership role within healthcare administration.
