Champion Care in Alabama offers an Administrator in Training (AIT) program designed to develop the next generation of licensed Nursing Home Administrators. The role blends hands-on facility operations with leadership development, under the guidance of an experienced Nursing Home Administrator.

You will rotate through clinical services, finance, regulatory compliance, resident experience and environmental services, gaining exposure to every area of operation and preparing for Alabama licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, public health or related field preferred.
• Previous leadership or healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to relocate within Alabama after program.
• Must meet the eligibility requirements established by the Alabama Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators.
• Willingness to relocate within Alabama following completion of the program.

Responsibilities

Administrator in Training AIT Alabama

Salary: $70,000 annually

Champion Care is seeking a motivated and ambitious leader to join our Alabama operations as an Administrator in Training. This structured leadership development program provides hands-on experience in skilled nursing operations while preparing the selected candidate to become a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Alabama.

Working under the guidance of an experienced, licensed Nursing Home Administrator, the AIT will gain exposure to every area of facility operations, including clinical services, employee recruitment and retention, financial management, regulatory compliance, resident experience, quality improvement, business development and environmental services.

Program Details

The length of the AIT program will be determined by the candidate’s education and the requirements of the Alabama Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators. Candidates with a general bachelor’s degree typically complete a 1,000-hour approved AIT program. Candidates with qualifying healthcare administration degrees may be eligible for a reduced training requirement.

The selected candidate will receive structured training, mentorship and support throughout the AIT program and Alabama licensure process.
