The main purpose of this position is to support the continuing operations and administration of the Office of the Director for the Division of Parole and Probation by coordinating executive priorities, managing day-to-day workflow, and ensuring timely follow-through on critical assignments.
The incumbent promotes the agency’s work through regular contact with interested groups and individuals and serves as a key liaison between the executive and agency units.
This role analyzes issues and makes recommendations to upper management regarding new or revised legislation affecting the agency, and develops and recommends updated standards and methods of operation to improve effectiveness and consistency.
The position may manage sensitive and confidential projects requiring discretion and sound judgment in the release of information, represent the executive in meetings and conferences, lead special projects as assigned, and performs other related duties.
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
