This is main purpose of this position is to provide training, monitoring and coaching for new and current staff in Behavioral Health Treatment Interventions. This position requires the incumbent to train staff in DJS’ treatment programs and detention facilities on DBT skills; other identified therapeutic interventions (CBT, MRT, Motivational Interviewing, etc.) and associated policies and procedures. The incumbent will provide training that includes Entry Level Training (ELT), initial onsite training, in-service refresher training, and remedial training on the DBT and other Behavioral Health Related Programming. This position will provide DBT groups and other behavioral health interventions and services, if licensed, clinical services to youth as needed.
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Five years of administrative staff or professional work.
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
