Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Administrator II – Application Support is to provide on-call and system support for applications that require a significant amount of configuration, design, and/or coding. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide subject‑matter expertise for configuration of application systems, including configuring operating workflows, designing applications to fit business logistics, and building software integrations to other systems.
- Partner with Product Managers to address business opportunities or issues across business functions.
- Work with the Product Management team and vendors to participate in the solution phase in support of the business requirements across functional areas.
- Assist in providing input for project/effort modeling and sizing of solutions.
- Create solutions that include components of systems development, process improvement, organizational change, strategic planning, or policy development.
- Work with business users and key stakeholders to formulate business, functional, and technical requirements across multiple business areas, then create or design applications to properly satisfy those requirements.
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously with the ability to deliver aggressive timelines aligned to project deliverables.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Work independently with users to define concepts under the direction of Project Managers and Product Managers.
- Continuously build knowledge base of The Venetian Resort’s application suite.
- Provide Level 2 application and on‑call support for The Venetian Resort’s application suite.
- Manage escalated technical situations, develop action plans, and maintain documentation around the support of applications.
- Independently and self‑directed, manage short‑duration projects (typically 1 to 3 months).
- Maintain expertise across several application environments and work effectively with other information technology professionals to ensure that the application environments are stable, efficient, and responsive to business needs.
- Participate as a resource on major projects as requested.

Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in application support and coding required.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 5 years in Information Technology.
- 3 years of demonstrated experience in designing, coding and configuring operational applications, such as Four Winds digital signage, Track‑Via workflow system, SailPoint access management software, SharePoint Administration, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in gathering business requirements, using business analysis skills, with the ability to forecast implications and provide consultative recommendations and solutions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, CRM, HTML and/or .NET is preferred.
- Working knowledge of iSeries/AS400 applications and OS is preferred.
- Exposure to traditional casino/hotel applications (ACSC, LMS, Kronos, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other team members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
