Job description

Summary

This position is located in the Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. The primary purpose of the position is to provide administrative support on the practical and technical aspects of office administration, to include budgeting, acquisition and property management, human resources, and other administrative support services, and to perform complex staff support work in each of these areas.

Major Duties

The major duties of this position are to provide administrative support for Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. Such support includes but is not limited to: GS-05 MAJOR DUTIES: Budget Human Resources Property Permitting Travel Timekeeping GS-06 MAJOR DUTIES: Office Coordinator including answering the telephone, scheduling conference rooms, escorting visitors and coordinating building janitorial, maintenance and repair requests. Payroll and Travel, receives and distributes incoming mail/packages and prepares outgoing mail/packages for delivery. Maintains central filing systems and utilizes office computer software. Performs and oversees supply functions including purchasing, receiving incoming supplies, materials and equipment and maintains office supply inventory. Prepare division purchase requests for contracting and assists with budget functions including preparing expenditure transfers, reconciling payroll and performing labor adjustments. Must be able to work independently with little on-site supervision. GS-07 MAJOR DUTIES: Applies procurement regulations and financial tracking procedures Applies human resources policies and procedures, etc. Applies computer applications software and peripheral equipment Applies communication and interpersonal skills Collect funds, prepare remittance reports and make deposits Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
