Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is excited to add an Administrative Support Assistant to the team at Marion Diehl Recreation Center! The incumbent will oversee front desk operations and provide excellent customer service to our community via telephone, email, and in-person. This position will also be responsible for responding to inquiries from the public regarding facility and program information, memberships, and rental requests, and provide overall administrative support to three full‑time Managers at the facility. They will also assist in managing reservations for special events, birthday parties and contracts. In addition, this position will also participate in creating marketing materials and signage for the facility. The successful candidate will have experience with accounting processes such as cash handling and conducting daily deposits in a high‑volume recreation facility. This full‑time position will serve as Manager on Duty on a rotating basis and will work a flexible schedule to include mornings, evenings (at least 1 per week), and rotating weekends (at least 1 per month) based on facility and business needs.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?: Yes
Licenses/Certifications: May require a North Carolina or South Carolina Driver’s License and County Driving Privileges
Computer Skills: Proficient in various computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and Excel
