Job description

The purpose of this class is to provide part-time professional-level administrative support services to the Director, Employee Relations & Equity in the Human Resources department.

Qualifications: High school diploma/GED with five years of related office experience, or an Associate’s Degree with three years of related office experience. Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications are required. Candidates must complete and pass Microsoft testing modules, including Word and Excel, and demonstrate the ability to type 30 wpm. Candidates with proof of current Microsoft Office Expert Specialist Certification are exempt from testing.

Position Details: This is a PART-TIME position (19.5 hours per week), with daytime hours between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:
  1. Respond to student, faculty, and staff inquiries regarding HR – Employee Relations & Equity matters through various modes of communication, accurately and in a timely manner.
  2. Collaborate with Training & Organizational Development staff to develop brochures, flyers, emails, and other communication methods to share Employee Relations & Equity development opportunities and resources.
  3. Serve as liaison between the department or program and other offices or organizations.
  4. Research, analyze, and process data into college systems.
  5. Maintain physical and online records and files.
  6. Prepare letters, reports, documents, and other correspondence, including sensitive information; operate copier and fax equipment.
  7. Compile confidential reports, documents, forms, and correspondence.
  8. Create and track check requests, requisitions, work orders, and other request forms.
  9. Process incoming and outgoing mail.
  10. Assist in planning and implementing confidential meetings, special projects, and events.
  11. Manage the calendar for the Director, Employee Relations & Equity.
