Overview

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct administrative activities within the hospital and in the delivery of nursing care services.
• Continuously monitor and review work performance of staff, make nursing management aware of performance issues, facilitate counseling processes as directed, and provide input into the performance appraisal process.
• Assess and analyze cost‑effective utilization of hospital resources and recommend changes as needed.
• Intervene in staffing and scheduling changes to maintain optimal staffing levels.
• Act as a resource to nursing personnel for problem identification and resolution.
• Assist in the implementation of Performance Improvement Plans initiated by the Nursing Department.
• Continuously ensure that patients’ rights are upheld by staff.

Qualifications

• BSN required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of charge/management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Licensed and currently registered in NYS to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS required.
• Responsible for supervision, coordination, and ensuring quality care is delivered on all units during a specific shift.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: USD $54.92 – $74.15 per hour.
