WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
The Sheriff's Department - Jail Division is recruiting for an Administrative Specialist - Jail Records Clerk position.
Work Schedule (3rd shift): Saturday - Wednesday, 10:45 PM - 6:45 AM.
Note: Due to the sensitive nature of this role, cellular devices (phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices) are not permitted, except during break times in designated areas.
This position requires flexibility to work varying shifts for training, as well as some holidays and overtime. Initial training will be provided on each of the three shifts before permanent assignment.
Administrative Specialist is a professional (non-sworn) position within the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department-Jail Division. High awareness and sensitivity are critical. The ability to positively interact with Law Enforcement personnel, Court Officials, staff, community members, visitors, and professionals from other agencies is essential for success.
This role involves entering, retrieving, and interpreting data from various computer systems, Law Enforcement agencies, Department of Corrections, and Circuit Courts. Building, maintaining, and updating physical and electronic records is crucial. Success factors include effective communication, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, a positive attitude, and maintaining effective working relationships.
Anticipated starting hourly rate range: $21.44 to $22.33, with full range up to $28.33. Benefits are excellent.
Criminal History and Background Check: Final candidates must pass an extensive background investigation conducted by the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department.
