GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Receptionist/Secretary works under the supervision of and reports directly to the Clinic Director. Using initiative and judgment, performs advanced secretarial duties with latitude for decision making in conducting administrative phases of the work in the absence of the Clinic Director, within bounds set forth by the Clinic Director. Assembles and organizes information for the Clinic Director and staff. With the Director, manages an efficient office system and contributes to the clinic’s quality improvement efforts.
Duties include but is not limited to answering and routing a high volume of incoming calls. Responsible for scheduling physician schedules for Adults and Children and all follow-up appointments, completing financial assessments for all programs in the service area, supplying information to callers, relay messages, greeting people, and ordering supplies. Constantly exercises vigilance in maintaining confidential files and reports.
Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, must always maintain an elevated level of professional attitude, and must be able to work in a very fast-paced work environment. Camino Real Community services practice the principles of trauma-informed care and require that all employees be trained in this area.
