This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Greater Greenville Mental Health Center, 124 Mallard Street, Greenville, SC 29601.
Under general supervision, performs a variety of secretarial or administrative duties involved in the administrative operations of GGMHC. Requires the ability to plan, organize, develop and implement procedures to maintain daily schedules.
Responsible for all duties related to front office areas to include scheduling and rescheduling patient appointments, signing patients in and out, and other front desk coverage. Promptly responds to patient and staff correspondence.
Perform cashier duties and collection of fees paid.
Obtain and update patient files regarding demographic, financial, and guarantor information.
Enter Medicaid, Medicare, and Private Insurance Information for billing purposes.
Responsible for scheduling and rescheduling appointments for PRISMA resident psychiatrists.
Provide coverage for administrative areas to include all front office areas, switchboard, and admissions as needed.
A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.
A high school diploma and one year of clerical experience, or an associate degree in secretarial science or a related field; or 2 years of clerical experience.
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

Have considerable knowledge of grammatical rules, spelling, language usage and clerical formats.
