This position is located in the Division 11 Equipment shop in Wilkes County. Employee will provide office support assistance to the Administrative Specialist I and parts room. Duties include data entry of invoices in SAP, record keeping, filing, handling mail, answering phones, and assisting the public. Responsibilities also include ordering, receiving, and issuing parts, unloading shipments, and assisting with inventory. The role may require lifting up to 50 lbs, operating a State vehicle, and working during non-traditional hours and adverse weather. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office duties are required.
Knowledge of office procedures, record keeping, and ability to operate office equipment. Ability to work independently, perform math calculations, and communicate effectively. Knowledge of repair materials for construction equipment is a plus. Safety policies must be followed. The role may require working extended hours and operating a motor vehicle. Safety toe shoes are required.
High school diploma or GED and two years of related administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
