The Oregon Military Department is recruiting for an Administrative Specialist 1. This is a permanent full-time state position located at the Portland Air National Guard Base (PANG) in Portland, Oregon.
The salary range listed is a non PERS rate if you are PERS eligible the salary range is $4,050.00 - $5,550.00.
This position is represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees’ (AFSCME) union.
This position is classified management service and is not represented by a union.

This position serves as the primary administrative support specialist for the 142nd Civil Engineer Squadron, providing comprehensive administrative, personnel, and technology support services to ensure efficient squadron operations. The incumbent serves as a key liaison between squadron personnel, leadership, and external agencies while maintaining critical administrative systems and processes.
Work is conducted in an open office environment, which results in frequent interruptions and distractions. Work requires interaction with Military and Civilian personnel, contractors and vendors.
This position works an in-office schedule.
Two (2) years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data.
An associate degree in general office occupations and one (1) year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data.
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid DoD SECRET security clearance and eligibility to obtain a USAF Restricted Area Badge. Duties and responsibilities include unescorted access to restricted areas that may contain classified equipment or materials up to secret level.
To retain employment incumbent must possess or be able to possess and maintain a favorable completed National Agency Check in order to receive and retain an AF Form 1199 restricted area badge and obtain and maintain AF Form 2293, U.S. Air Force Motor Vehicle Identification Card.
Employee is required to maintain a drug/alcohol free workplace in accordance with OMD Drug/Alcohol CPM’s, Policies, and the Statewide Drug Free Workplace Policy 50-000-01.
