Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to join our Princeton, New Jersey office. This role supports day-to-day operations, coordinates meetings and events, and assists with client-facing documents to ensure polished, on-brand communications.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a professional office setting. Previous experience in engineering, environmental, or consulting environments is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 2+ years of administrative experience; consulting/engineering/environmental/architecture background is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and related tools; experience with Adobe, CRM systems, and virtual meeting support preferred.
  • Strong communication, proofreading, editing, organization, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, independence, problem-solving, and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, format, proofread, and edit client-facing documents (proposals, presentations, reports) while ensuring brand consistency and quality.
  • Support office operations, including document production, vendor invoices, office supplies, mail, deliveries, and maintaining an organized workplace.
  • Organize meetings and events by managing calendars, travel, room bookings, catering, A/V support, and meeting logistics.
  • Provide administrative support to employees and project teams, coordinating daily requests and assisting with onboarding and offboarding.
  • Deliver professional front-office and visitor support, creating a welcoming experience for clients and guests.

Ramboll is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to join our Princeton, New Jersey office. This is an opportunity for a highly organized, service-oriented professional to play an important role in supporting a collaborative team within a global engineering and consultancy company. Experience in an engineering, environmental, or consulting environment is preferred, but not required.

Your new role
In joining Ramboll, you will become part of an internationally leading company within Environment & Health and a local office where administrative support is valued as an essential part of delivering high-quality work for our clients. You will also be part of a broader administrative community across offices, collaborating with colleagues who support the region and each other with business support requests in addition to local office responsibilities.

Salary Transparency Statement

At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $58,500 - $76,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
