About the Production:

Join us in bringing the captivating and mysterious world of "Picnic at Hanging Rock" to life! Based on Joan Lindsay's iconic novel, this haunting musical adaptation by Hilary Bell and Greta Gertler Gold explores themes of love, loss, and secrets hidden in the Australian landscape. After several readings, workshops, and concert performances at Lincoln Center and Joe's Pub, we are now seeking a dynamic Social Media Manager to elevate our online presence and engage audiences across platforms as we draw closer to our world premiere production.

Position Overview:

As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a compelling social media strategy that amplifies awareness, builds anticipation, and fosters a vibrant community around "Picnic at Hanging Rock". Your creativity and strategic thinking will help us connect with diverse audiences and generate excitement leading up to the show's premiere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media marketing plan across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Create engaging, original content (images, videos, copy) that captures the mood and themes of "Picnic at Hanging Rock".
  • Manage content calendars, schedule posts, and monitor engagement metrics.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure branding consistency and timely promotion of events, performances, and related activities.
  • Foster online community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries.
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance, adjusting strategies to improve reach and engagement.
  • Stay current with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to keep our campaigns fresh and effective.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for theatrical productions, arts organizations, or similar entertainment entities.
