The NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking an Administrative Officer III at Piedmont Correctional Institution. This full-time role involves overseeing business functions, managing budgets, and collaborating with the management team to ensure effective operations. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in state government operations.
This position is located at Piedmont Correctional Institution in Rowan County, NC. Piedmont Correctional Institution is a medium custody male facility.
The Administrative Officer III oversees the complete business functions of the prison, including fiscal and Human Resources operations. This role requires high-level decision-making based on knowledge of DAC and Prison Policies, as well as a thorough understanding of prison operations. The position serves on the management team and directly supervises staff responsible for budget, accounting, human resources, canteen, clothes house, maintenance, mailroom, and trust fund. It is also responsible for data analysis and providing management reports regularly. The role involves close collaboration with the Warden to manage the facility budget and make expenditure decisions.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.

As of January 1, 2025, there are new salary adjustments approved by the State Human Resources Commission, with a range of $48,222.00 - $84,388.
