is recruiting for an Administrative Officer 2 position for the Spring Creek Correctional Center (SCCC)

located in Seward, Alaska.

What You Will Be Doing:

The position is responsible for providing financial, procurement, inventory, human resources/personnel, maintenance oversight, and general administrative management for a 24-hour correctional institution. This includes financial management, budget implementation & tracking, administrative operations, accounting, inmate banking, personnel human resources, procurement, inventory and direct supervision of all clerical, administrative, food service, and maintenance staff.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:

Spring Creek Correctional Center is a maximum custody facility that houses up to 535 male sentenced inmates and employs over 193 staff on 328 acres. You will be working in an office environment with other staff daily with the potential of working around inmates.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:
  • Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or progressively responsible experience providing administrative support to a business or organization, business administration, public administration, finance, banking, accounting, industrial relations, marketing, human resource management, logistics and supply chain management, or a similar business field.
