City of Naples is seeking an experienced administrative professional to lead the Administrative Specialist and Administrative Coordinator in the Community Services Department. You will manage budget processes, prepare financial reports, and coordinate HR activities, including postings and onboarding, while supporting City Council agenda preparation.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of administrative experience, with strong PC skills and knowledge of Munis/Civic Plus.
The purpose of this classification is to perform highly responsible administrative services to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. This includes organizing and coordinating administrative operations, staff, procedures, administrative support duties, and public contact work for the Community Services Department. Oversee and provide routine and specialized administrative support to the Department. Work requires specialized knowledge of Department functions and daily planning to ensure all tasks are completed within established time frames. The employee in this classification is responsible for managing administrative affairs and staff and coordinating various City functions and activities.

Functional Reasoning: Requires the ability to apply principles of rational systems; to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form; and to exercise independent judgment to adopt or modify methods and standards to meet variations in assigned objectives.
Situational Reasoning: Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving evaluation of information against measurable or verifiable criteria.
Every City employee has emergency response responsibilities, though not every position will require routine assignments during an emergency event. All employees may be subject to recall around the clock for emergency response operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the normal work location, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official job description. Assignments in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature, with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically and operationally challenging conditions.
