Administrative Director, Support Services - Support Services Admin - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Exempt) (Non-Union)

Provides leadership for Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Security, and Parking Services. Ensures the delivery of quality services, regulatory compliance, and manages operations efficiently to achieve service and revenue objectives. Oversees campus environmental services, food services, security, and parking. Implements satisfaction drivers, coaches, trains, and develops directors, managers, and supervisors. Develops employee training and retention initiatives. The primary objective is maintaining a safe, secure, and threat-free environment. The role involves implementing and maintaining comprehensive environmental, food, security, and parking programs and participating in relevant committees. The role requires a full understanding of these operations and demonstrates behaviors aligned with Keck Medicine of USC's mission and values.

Essential Duties:

  1. Lead and oversee Environmental Services, Food Services, Security, and Parking operations.
  2. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards; promote a professional environment.
  3. Develop and manage budgets, approve expenditures, and maintain inventory and payroll records.
  4. Recruit, train, and develop staff; plan and assign work; conduct disciplinary actions as necessary.
  5. Maintain positive relationships with clients and evaluate service quality.
  6. Conduct security planning, assessments, and surveys; support security training and audits.
  7. Participate in hospital and HSC committees related to security and information systems.
  8. Lead investigations of incidents and ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
  9. Develop strategic security policies, practices, and technology enhancements.
  10. Ensure safety of visitors and staff, lead incident response, and maintain security infrastructure.
  11. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of safe work practices, company policies, and procedures.
  2. Experience in delivering high-quality customer service and evaluating operational performance.
  3. Ability to recruit, develop, and lead staff effectively.
  4. Experience with security audits, risk assessments, and compliance with regulations like HIPAA and FERPA.
  5. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to handle urgent and pressure situations.
  6. Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Driver's License (CA DMV)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association
  • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) or obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Certifications such as CHPA, CHSP, or CHEM are preferred.

Salary range: $145,600 - $240,240 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
