NorthBay Health is seeking an Administrative Coordinator (RN) to coordinate administrative, clinical and ancillary activities for a shift within our hospital. You will act as a single point of contact for physicians and departments to facilitate patient admissions, transfers and overall care coordination.
The role requires an RN with acute care experience, supervisory skills, and strong communication. California licensure, BLS, and ACLS within six months are essential, with BSN preferred.
The Administrative Coordinator (AC) is a registered nurse with demonstrated clinical expertise and supervisory experience. For a specified shift, the AC coordinates and is accountable for the administrative, clinical and ancillary activities within the hospital. The AC acts as the single point of contact for physicians, departments, nursing and administrative management team, to assist in the timely and accurate placement of patients requiring acute care admission, transfers, and all aspects of patient movement and coordination of care.
The AC has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to manage the hospital with front line leadership, resource management and short term plan design and implementation to meet needs for delivery of patient care and staff. Holds staff accountable to adhere to standards of practice utilizing The NorthBay Way. The AC utilizes Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, the Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model to promote and support a transparent and collaborative environment. The AC supports the mission, vision, values and expectation of excellence of the organization.
The AC assures the activities of the hospital are in accordance with hospital policies, procedures and standards. For a specific shift, the AC ensures compliance with and participates in the hospital’s performance improvement plan and infection control plan both as a resource and through assigned duties. Works under the supervision of the Director, Acute Care and Clinical Support Services.

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1-5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.
NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs.
Remote work is not supported in Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or outside of the United States.
