Job summary

The SC Department on Aging is seeking an Administrative Coordinator II to perform routine and complex administrative duties for the Office of the State Long Term Care Ombudsman Program. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a statewide program.

Candidates should have a high school diploma with relevant program experience; experience with databases, advanced Excel, and office operations is preferred. This is an in-office role with statewide travel.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant program experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services.
  • Experience with database and case entry accuracy; advanced Excel skills and record management.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and support the administrative functions in support of the program.
  • Serve as a database administrator to include entering, creating, and implementing standard database management procedures.
  • Develop, monitor, maintain, and support a low complexity database management system with updates, and annual reporting.
  • Provide administrative support and technical assistance to office staff.
  • Manages SLED complaint intake process and provides administrative support to the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Office at the state and regional levels.
  • Coordinates special projects to include data retrieval for state and federal reports and organizes training and conferences.
  • Ensures data security and protection through the application of data classification, user/group management, and access controls.
  • Develops and conducts training for the Ombudsman certification process; provides training and information on advanced directives and the Living Will witness program to AAA's and at the request of community members.

Are you detail oriented? If so, the SC Department on Aging may have a position for you. We are looking for an Administrative Coordinator II, who will perform independently the routine and complex administrative duties related to the job. You will serve as an Administrative Coordinator for the Office of the State Long Term Care Ombudsman Program.


Job Responsibilities

Requirements

A high school diploma and relevant program experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.


Experience in database and case entries with accuracy, completeness. Knowledgeable in data-entry protocols and managing routine permission. Advanced excel skills, office operations, and record management.


Physical Requirements


  • This position may require overnight and statewide travel.

  • Sitting or standing for long periods of time.

  • Lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 20lbs.
