Administrative Coordinator I serves as a foundational administrative professional providing structured program and operational support under direct supervision. Work is primarily task-driven, process-oriented, and guided by established procedures. This level develops technical competence, organizational knowledge, and proficiency in service delivery.

Scope of Work

Work at this level aligns with early-stage administrative responsibilities, such as task execution, process support, and routine coordination consistent with foundational administrative tiers in industry research.

  • Calendar and meeting coordination as directed
  • Customer service (phone, email, in person)
  • Document preparation, formatting, and records management
  • Data entry, database maintenance, and filing
  • Expense tracking and purchase pcard reconciliation
  • Supply ordering and inventory coordination
  • Administrative support during public health incidents
  • Completion of tasks based on established workflows and supervisor direction

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree preferred
Experience:
  • 3 years administrative, business support, or equivalent comparable experience
Background Check:
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment testing which includes motor vehicle record (MVR) and background check.
  • Drivers License required
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • This role remains in a semi-stationary position, often sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally, this role will move about to accomplish tasks by walking or traveling from one department to another, or by traveling from one worksite to another. This position’s physical demands are assessed to be light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
  • This role constantly communicates with others to exchange information by speaking and writing, and that includes repeating motions that include wrists, hands, and/or fingers. This position will be asked to self-assess accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
  • This position can expect no adverse environmental conditions as work is performed in an office building.
