NRDC is a non-profit environmental advocacy organization. NRDC is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to work with the Litigation team in any of our primary offices – Chicago, New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, or Santa Monica.

Position Summary

The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative and operations support for the Litigation team and team members.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide administrative and logistical support to the Litigation Team, working closely with the Litigation Operations Manager, Litigation Paralegals, and Litigation Team Managers. This includes: budgeting and accounting support, processing invoices, maintaining contracts, preparing reports, tracking spending, supporting contract submissions, and maintaining electronic filing systems.
  2. Support team hiring processes, including intern hiring, application tracking, and materials management.
  3. Assist with administration of NRDC’s Continuing Legal Education program.
  4. Provide administrative support to team members, including scheduling appointments, drafting and proofreading materials, creating expense reports, booking travel, and organizing meetings and events.
  5. Support effective communication within the department and with external partners.

The above duties are not exhaustive; other responsibilities may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 1-3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Commitment to NRDC’s mission, values, and DEI principles.
  • Ability to learn new systems and technology quickly.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work paid overtime when needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn additional software.
  • Ability to travel to NRDC offices as needed.
