PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of this job is to provide administrative support to the assigned department which may include Worker's Compensation Underwriting, Risk Management, etc. while utilizing technical knowledge and analytical skills. This position exists to promote effective and efficient business operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops documentation that supports company procedures and operations.
Partners with IT and Line of Business (LOB) technical expert to maintain and update business systems content.
Provides other administrative support to facilitate LOB / department operations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate's degree from two-year college in Business Administration preferred. Minimum 2 4 years of office related experience, preferably in the insurance industry in underwriting or risk management.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Working knowledge of Workers' Compensation insurance industry, underwriting principles and technology, required. Knowledge of risk management principles a plus. Demonstrated competence in using underwriting systems, Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel, Word and Outlook. Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Office environment no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands and employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, and hear.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in an office environment and requires the frequent use of a computer, telephone, copier, and other standard office equipment.

The current range for this position is
25.91 - $40.86
This range is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at ICW Group, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors unique to each candidate, including experience, education and the location of the role and considers employees performing substantially similar work.
