Position Introduction:

The College of Nursing is seeking an organized, resourceful, and service-oriented Administrative Coordinator to support Skills Lab and Simulation operations at the Lawton/Duncan learning site. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the center of a fast-paced educational environment and takes pride in creating efficient, well-organized operations that support both students and faculty. The Administrative Coordinator plays an important role in supporting experiential learning and helping ensure the day-to-day operations of the Skills Lab and Simulation areas run smoothly. Serving as a key point of contact for faculty, staff, students, vendors, and other internal and external partners, this individual will help create a welcoming and responsive environment while providing essential administrative and operational support.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. This position requires someone who can anticipate needs, solve problems, improve processes, and maintain a high level of attention to detail. From coordinating schedules and special projects to assisting with financial and budget-related activities, maintaining confidential records, and supporting departmental personnel processes, the Administrative Coordinator will contribute to the efficient operation of a dynamic learning environment.

This role also offers the opportunity to take ownership of specialized administrative functions and identify opportunities to improve office procedures and workflows. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with leadership and colleagues across the College of Nursing. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, as this individual will regularly provide information, respond to questions, and assist in resolving concerns from a variety of stakeholders.

In addition to supporting daily operations, the Administrative Coordinator may provide coordination and oversight for assigned staff, including assisting with scheduling, training, and performance-related activities. The position also supports the management of departmental resources and expenditures and helps ensure accurate records and documentation are maintained. Working within experiential learning provides the opportunity to directly support innovative nursing education and the development of future healthcare professionals.

The Skills Lab and Simulation environment is an important component of the student learning experience, providing opportunities for students to develop and strengthen the knowledge, clinical skills, confidence, and critical thinking necessary for their future careers. If you are a proactive administrative professional who enjoys organization, problem-solving, customer service, and supporting meaningful work, we invite you to consider joining the College of Nursing team. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes while supporting faculty, staff, and students in an environment dedicated to preparing the next generation of nursing professionals.
