Works under direct supervision of the State Director and provides operational support to State Director and team, as needed. In addition to clerical work, record keeping and scheduling, this position is responsible for duties such as coordination of meetings, obtaining supplies, coordinating correspondence, facilitating communication, and working on special projects for the State Director or other team members. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload.
Will be responsible for building, cultivating, and coordinating relationships with new and existing church partners and community partners in assigned state.
Primary Duties:
- To be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to co-workers, clients and ministry partners
- Actively participates on the team in a manner aligned with scripture including, but not limited to, praying for and with other team members, sharing scripture in daily activities and leadership, modeling the character of Jesus Christ in interactions with team and any external clients, partners, vendors, etc.
- Disciples ministry partners and clients.
- Aligns team dynamics, internal & external processes, and final product of team's work with Biblical principles and with Lifeline's Core Values.
Administration
- Provides administrative support to leadership, including calendar management, correspondence, project assistance, recordkeeping, and client interaction.
- Adapts to changing priorities and supports both ongoing and special projects as needed.
- Maintains and updates information across Lifeline databases and systems, including SAM, Virtuous, and other organizational platforms.
- Assists with logistics and administrative support for state-specific initiatives, events, and ministry activities.
- Participates in reception duties, including answering phones, directing callers, greeting visitors, and responding to inquiry emails.
- Maintains awareness of program and policy updates to ensure accurate communication and support.
- Creates content for state newsletters and other communications as requested.
- Coordinates planning and logistics for annual events and special gatherings.
- Manages correspondence and communications for the State Director, including monitoring mail and email and drafting responses when requested.
- Assists with state financial administration, including expense processing and reporting through Webexpenses.
- Demonstrates proficiency and ongoing growth in systems and tools necessary for the role, including Lifeline databases, SharePoint, Outlook, Microsoft 365 applications, Teams, Canva, and Lifeline branding standards.
- Serves as a liaison between departments to promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Coordinates with IT to maintain office equipment and technology resources.
- Exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Provides direct support to leadership through a variety of assigned tasks. Tasks may include but are not limited to, organization of weekly calendars, managing correspondence, assisting on projects, filing paperwork, and interacting with clients.
Church Partnerships
- Develops, cultivates, and maintains partnerships with local churches and ministries to advance the mission and vision of Lifeline Children's Services.
- Identifies opportunities to establish new church partnerships while strengthening relationships with existing partners.
- Represents Lifeline through speaking, teaching, and church engagement opportunities, equipping churches to bring Gospel hope to vulnerable children.
- Leads church partnership efforts and meetings within the state and collaborates with the State Director to advance regional ministry goals.
- Encourages and equips state team members to actively engage in church partnership development.
- Builds and supports a strong ministry presence throughout the assigned region by promoting Lifeline's domestic and international programs.
- Maintains regular communication with church partners to assess needs, identify service opportunities, and strengthen engagement.
- Assists in organizing outreach initiatives, church events, and community engagement activities.
- Participates in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Supports center events, ministry outreach efforts, and other state team activities as needed.
Other duties:
- Assisting in agency-related events, including the annual staff retreat, the annual dinner, anniversary celebrations, across all Lifeline programs
- Maintains good relationships with co-workers, including solving all disputes in a Biblically prescribed fashion
- Represents the agency in a professional manner in and away from the
- Encourages and supports church engagement efforts, including live presence opportunities, adoption information meetings, and biblical teaching on caring for vulnerable children.
- If qualified by the state, conduct home studies, post placement/adoption reports or other related adoption services for families in your geographical area when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or member of the Executive team
All roles at Lifeline are designed to function as a flexible, team-based position. While primary responsibilities are outlined, employees may be asked to support additional programs, service areas, or initiatives based on organizational needs, workload/caseload demands, and supervisor direction. Any additional duties will be consistent with the employee's training, licensure, role classification, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) status and will not fundamentally change the nature of the position.
*Minor adjustments in above listed duties may be needed in order to meet the needs of the specific state office. These adjustments are at the discretion of the State Director with the help of the Regional Director.
At least two years of undergraduate education or equivalent experience, required
