Position Summary

Oversees the further development, implementation, and effectiveness of the Families Count program.

Primary Duties
  • To be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to co-workers, clients and ministry partners
  • Actively leads the team in a manner aligned with scripture including, but not limited to, praying for and with them, sharing scripture in daily activities and leadership, modeling the character of Jesus Christ in interactions with team and any external clients, partners, vendors, etc.
  • Disciples employees for the benefit of our ministry partners and clients
  • Aligns team dynamics, internal & external processes, and final product of team’s work with Biblical principles and with Lifeline’s Core Values
  • Maintaining good relationships with co-workers, including solving all disputes in a Biblically prescribed fashion
  • Representing the Agency in a professional manner in and away from the office
  • Encourages and supports church engagement efforts, including live presence opportunities, adoption information meetings, and biblical teaching on caring for vulnerable children
  • When qualified by the state and as organizational needs require, may conduct home studies, post‑placement or post‑adoption reports, and other related adoption services for families within the assigned geographic area or across programs
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
  • Support organizational events and outreach as needed
  • Contribute to a positive team culture rooted in compassion, respect, and excellence
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or other member of the Executive Team
  • Oversee Families Count program, which includes managing local and national church partnerships and finding ways to scale and grow the program
  • Ensure preliminary calls/virtual meetings are held with interested churches in response to Families Count inquiries
  • Formulate a plan for regular contact with engaged churches to assess ongoing needs and opportunities for supportive services
  • Provide leadership for the Families Count team staying aware of needs and opportunities within the ministry
  • Establish Lifeline’s supportive role in Families Count with new church partners through upfront and ongoing communication
  • Assist Implementation Partners in Families Count with data collection and other needs, including training
  • Compile Families Count reports for Lifeline based on church survey results and other forms of data collection, developing new data management tools as needed
  • Conduct Families Count interest meetings and trainings as needed, including the training of trainers
  • Engage in active recruitment of new church partners
  • Maintain regular contact with established and interested partners in Families Count and provide consultation on policy and implementation matters
  • Develop the Families Count program through ongoing needs assessment and marketing
  • Travel as needed to provide live training and informational meetings to partners in Families Count
  • Plan Families Count church trainings, as needed, in conjunction with other Lifeline team members
  • Coordinate with and provide support to State Directors regarding Families Count recruitment and implementation
  • Partner with local child welfare practitioners and family courts to stay up to date on client needs
  • Amend Families Count curriculum and training tools as needed, in collaboration with the Director of Church-Based Programs

  • This position is designed to function as a flexible, team‑based role in support of Lifeline’s mission and operational needs. While this job description outlines the primary responsibilities associated with the role, employees may be asked to assist with responsibilities across programs, service areas, or state initiatives based on organizational priorities, caseload demands, licensure qualifications, and supervisor direction
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned will be consistent with the employee’s role classification, training, licensure, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) status and will not fundamentally change the nature of the position

Education

Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field, required

Work Environment
  • Central Office location, strongly preferred
