Qualifications

• JD required from accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Nevada and in good standing with Nevada State Bar.
• Valid Nevada driver's license and auto insurance.
• Strong knowledge of legal principles and research methods.
• Excellent drafting, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to handle conflicting time demands independently.
• Strong command of English; confidentiality maintained.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks by due dates.
• Clear emails daily and document cases in CMS.
• Assist Intake to meet potential new clients efficiently.
• Handle DIR death benefit claims and workers' compensation litigation.
• Provide expert advice on active WC cases.
• Monitor and manage cases during attorney absences.
• Draft non-routine correspondence during absences.
• Review determinations to meet case goals.
• Direct timely appeals when appropriate.
• Oversee client communications on litigation issues.
• Attend hearings and advocate for clients.
• Participate in administrative and leadership team meetings.

Duties

• Ensure daily clearance of case management software (CMS) feed.
• Complete all assigned tasks by relevant due dates.
• Clear emails daily and document cases in CMS.
• Assist the Intake Department to meet potential new clients efficiently.
• Handle death benefit claims with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
• Provide expert advice on active Workers' Compensation cases.
• Monitor and manage assigned cases during attorney absences.
• Draft non-routine correspondence during attorney absences.
• Review determinations to meet case goals when covering for primary attorneys.
• Direct timely appeals of issues when appropriate.
• Oversee client communication on litigation issues while covering for primary attorneys.
• Attend hearings and advocate for assigned clients.
• Participate in administrative and leadership team meetings.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited institution with a Juris Doctor degree.
• Licensed to practice law in Nevada and in good standing with the Nevada State Bar.
• Valid Nevada driver's license and insurance.
• Thorough knowledge of legal principles and research techniques.
• Excellent legal drafting, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment.

Education
